Her Story
The Bride
Laurel Bruening was born and raised in Liberty, MO. She works as the Office Manager for CONRAD'S Restaurant & Alehouse and STABLES Grill. Her interests include traveling, baking, and taking photographs. She is a part of the group Soroptimist International of the Americas, where she is active in the Kansas City Northland, MO club and South Central Region. She is thrilled to welcome you to her wedding!
His Story
The Groom
Curtis Bohlmeyer was born and raised in Liberty, MO. He currently works as a Programmer for the Liberty Public School District. His interests include computers, reading, and trying to keep up with Laurel. His online gaming buddies ( affectionately dubbed 'The B-Team') comprise most of the Groomsmen. He is excited to welcome you to his wedding!
Our Story
The Happy Couple!
Laurel and Curtis originally met when they were in high school. At graduation, Curtis sat in front of her. When it was his turn to go receive his diploma, he looked back and told Laurel he was going to fall. She said no he wouldn't. When she returned to her seat, she leaned forward and said
"You did it!"

Fast-forward 8 years...
​
Curtis was working at Discovery Middle School as the building tech and Laurel walked in one day to sub in the Library. It took awhile for them to really get things going but they had their first official date on November 1, 2017. From then on, they knew this was it. Curtis proposed on September 27, 2019 at CONRAD'S Restaurant & Alehouse, surrounded by all of their friends and family.
A few short months later, COVID came into our lives and the planning for their wedding came to a halt. They went back and forth for quite some time trying to decide whether or not they needed to change the date of their wedding.

They are so excited to begin their lives together. And so thrilled to welcome you all to their wedding. They are so thankful and estastic that you all have chosen to join them in the next step of their lives together.

Laurel & Kelli met when Kelli moved into their neighborhood and have been best friends ever since. Laurel was a bridesmaid in Kelli's wedding to Kevin. She currently resides in Madison, WI.

Co-Matron of Honor
Laurel & Crystal met when they worked at The Dish Famous Stuffed Pizza together. They've remained friends since then. Crystal is married to Geoff (who is a groomsman). They reside in Liberty, MO.

Laurel & Victoria met when they both worked at Rock & Run Brewery & Pub and have been friends since. Victoria & partner Brandon are parents to twin boys Owen & Reid and their youngest, Jack. She resides in Liberty, MO.

Juli is Curtis's sister. She and Laurel have become really good friends. Juli is married to Cleat and they are parents to our little Ring Bearer... Jackson! She resides in Kansas City, MO.

Lily is the daughter of good friends Spencer and Samantha Fish. She is the sweetest little girl and Laurel & Curtis are so excited to have her be apart of their day!
STOLI BAKER
Best Man
Stoli & Curtis became friends via the internet nearly a decade ago. Over their many online adventures, a strange, yet strong friendship has developed.
Stoli currently resides in Sydney, Australia

Curtis & Geoff met through their significant others and became fast friends. You might even say they are a lovely duet. Thanks for helping me venture into a Whole New World of marriage, Geoff!

Curtis & Matt have been friends for nearly a decade. Friends, through online games, Matt created the designation 'The B-Team' that the group uses today.
Matt resides in Leander, Texas.

Curtis & Conner met through online gaming nearly a decade ago. Friends from the start, Curtis was a groomsmen in Conner's wedding to Katrina. They reside in Bryan, Texas.

Jackson is Curtis's nephew, son of Cleat & Juli (who is Bridesmaid). He is the most curious and busiest little man we know! Laurel and Curtis are so excited to have him be a part of their day!

What time to arrive at Ceremony? Reception?
Please arrive at the Ceremony 30 minutes early. Due to time restraints, we must start on time.
Cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres start at 5:30pm at Harrah's Casino in the Pre-Function space. Doors will open to ballroom at 6pm.
What should I wear? Is there a Dress Code?
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. Ladies should wear dresses or nice slacks and shirt and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.
Will the Ceremony & Reception be Indoors or Outdoors?
What does the parking situation look like?
The church has a large parking lot with plenty of parking.
Harrah's has available for all guests at various locations on the property. Signs will be placed on property to assist guests.
1) You may park in the parking garage and walk through the building to get to the ballroom
2) Park in front of the hotel and walk through to get to the hotel to get to the ballroom
3) Go past hotel parking and park in the lot on the right side of the building.
Are children invited?
Of course! But the reception is at a casino, so they will need to be supervised at all times.
What if I have Dietary Restrictions or Allergies?
Both the Ceremony and the Reception will be indoors.
Will there be Food & Drink?
YES! We will have light hors d'oeuvres and cocktails for the Cocktail Hour. For the reception, we will have a full dinner plus desserts and cake!
Can we take and post pictures?
Sure! We encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #Bohlmeyer4Ever so we can keep track of all of your pictures! Please be aware of the photographers. We do not want their shots to be ruined during the ceremony.
No problem! We have a space when you RSVP on the website to put any Dietary Restrictions! Please list the guests name with the allergy or restriction.
Where can we RSVP? What is the Deadline?
The RSVP card will be sent with your invitation as well as a return envelope. You may also send your RSVP on the website as well too. Either way works!
Deadline is October 22, 2022.
